Zelda was lying atop her bed
A question burning inside her head
Had she not come,
Would I have been the one?
Had he ever felt a single spark…
A feeling for me in the midst of the dark?
Wondering, wondering…
What could have been?
Could it have been me, ever…
That would be in Link's arms forever…
I sometimes wish that this never had a start…
So that he would not have captured my heart…
Wondering, wondering…
What could have been?
Did he love me…Or did he even see…
What he meant to me?
Did he know that when he looked into my eyes…
I lost myself, completely, and filled with butterflies…
Wondering, wondering…
What could have been?
Did he know that when I felt his fingers run over my face…
A shiver shot through me, and I felt my heart race.

What could have been?
I'm sorry to say that his love will never be mine…
Never again will I feel that touch that was so sublime…
For he has chosen she over I,
Yet this love never seems to die…
