Zelda 40th Anniversary Switch 2 and Pro Controller Revealed
During the Zelda 40th Anniversary Direct a number of hardware and accessory items were revealed to celebrate the 40th anniversary and the Ocarina of Time remake. These products all launch on October 29, 2026, a week ahead of the game's release. There is a Zelda themed Switch 2 Console ($519.99) that features a green, black, and gold design on the console, dock, and Joy-Con. There is a similarly themed Switch 2 Pro Controller ($99.99) and a version that includes a stand ($109.99). There's also a matching carrying case ($39.99).
A few new amiibo were also revealed that feature both Young Link and Young Zelda in their Ocarina of Time style. They can be used in the game to get wearable masks matching the classic appearance of Link and Zelda from the Nintendo 64 version of the game. These amiibo will release some time in 2027.
No other new games were revealed, but it wouldn't be suprising if there is a little more in store during the year long 40th anniversary celebration. A few of the games that are not currently playable on Switch (like Twilight Princess) coming to Nintendo Switch Online seems likely.
