Hyrule Warriors 8-bit Sword

Hyrule Warriors is getting updated to Version 1.2.0 in Japan on September 1st. The update brings with it the 8-bit Sword and Shield as seen above, a new Challenge Mode, and a BGM Settings function. Be sure to check a quick breakdown of the additions after the break...

8-bit Sword and Shield

  • Is a new weapon for Link
  • Acquired with the "Sword" rank in the Hylian Sword moveset

Hyrule Warriors 8-bit Sword

Challenge Mode

  • Appears to be similar to Boss Challenge
  • Different Scenarios to be completed one after another
  • Challenge must be completed in a certain amount of time

  • Allows player to set the background music for each stage
  • Music from the Gallery can also be chosen for battle

^Where in "this" game? I'm on the Japanese website right now and it says "Sword". I guess you are talking about the original Zelda game where it was refered as the Sword too in Japanese, but Wooden Sword in the western releases? I wonder how they will translate it again in this. Would they be totally faithful or not^^ ?

^ The Wooden Sword is what the sword is officially referred to as.

8-bit Sword & Shield (or just "Sword" as it is called in this game apparently) is a very fanservicy idea... and I like it :D It is considered another "rank" for the Hylian Sword moveset. I wonder how its stats will be!
