Best Nintendo Land E3 2012 Attractions

Many will remember when Nintendo Land was first introduced at the Nintendo E3 2012 Press Conference and how dissatisfied they felt at first; however, with hands-on with all 5 Nintendo Land E3 2012 attractions that distaste has irrevocably changed into major interest in the title. Nintendo Land will feature 12 attractions or mini-games in total upon release for the Nintendo Wii U later this year but which ones were the best of show at E3 2012?

5. Takamaru's Ninja Castle

Based on Nazo no Murasame-jō, Takamaru's Ninja Castle from Nintendo Land was both fun and interesting to play; however, the simplistic gameplay failed to appeal to me as much as the other attractions. While tossing ninja stars was interesting – the mini-game was rather repetitive and lacking when compared to the other Nintendo Land attractions shown at E3 2012. See our full impressions here.

4. Donkey Kong's Crash Course

Based on Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong's Crash Course featured the player maneuvering a fragile cart through an obstacle filled maze on a journey to reach the bottom. The game controlled using the tilt or lean of the player's body with different face buttons operating certain platforms or lifts. Overall, Donkey Kong's Crash Course was a joy to play but felt lacking something once compared to the other attractions. See our full impressions here.

3. Legend of Zelda: Battle Quest

The Legend of Zelda: Battle Quest attraction was very enjoyable. The game challenges players with overcoming enemies and simple puzzles in order to face-off with the battle quest boss. The boss fight was challenging and many people were not able to win, which made the game appeal to me even more. The Legend of Zelda: Battle Quest created a good atmosphere for both friends and family to interact by forcing them to work together. The attraction was one of the highlights of Nintendo Land and will surely attract various amounts of people. See our full impressions here.

2. Luigi's Ghost Mansion

Luigi and Mario themed Mii's sneak around corners in groups to find the ever elusive ghost before they are snatched up in the Nintendo Land attraction Luigi's Ghost Mansion. The mini-game was both very fun and suspenseful. A sense of fear may overcome players at times, which created an exhilarating experience. Ghost Mansion brought together 5 players in what will become a hit for Nintendo Land players everywhere. The attraction was only slightly less appealing then what is at the top of this list. See our full impressions here.

1. Animal Crossing: Sweet Day

Animal Crossing: Sweet Day was amongst the couple 5 player demos shown for Nintendo Land. It features candy-loving animals attempting to take pieces of candy from a candy orchard protected by guards. Strategy could be deployed by either side in order to secure the win. The attraction was very fun and challenging at the same time. The strategy factor should appeal to many players and made Animal Cross: Sweet Day the best of show for Nintedo Land's E3 2012 showing. See our full impressions here.
